Every Wings Hawaii item is made by hand with the finest care, and made locally in their workshop on Maui’s North Shore. As an eco-conscious brand, Wings has applied their grassroots ideals and mindful philosophy into how they produce their jewelry & garments: clothing goods are made using organic cotton or bamboo fibers, all metals and fabric scraps are reclaimed and reused and all inks and dyes are non-toxic. This 2017 winter season, Wings Hawaii will be introducing a line of clothing produced in Indonesia, a country carefully chosen for their local artisan techniques and specialty materials they have to offer.
Best friends Sam and Melody began making jewelry in their Maui apartment in 2000. Since then, they have created a full production facility and design studio in Haiku's Pauwela Cannery. They are proud to offer hundreds of beautiful designs that feature shells, crystals, & gemstones paired with sterling silver, gold-filled and 14k gold metals. Their hand-crafted pieces can be worn and adored as everyday keepsakes or cherished as special fine jewelry. The high quality fabrication means that every Wings Hawaii item can be an heirloom to be passed down over generations.
What began as a simple love of screen-printing mermaids onto soft, well-worn vintage tees has grown into a complete fashion & lifestyle brand offering one-of-a-kind jackets, bohemian dresses, graphic tees & gypsy skirts. The team at Wings Hawaii designs for comfort and functionality first, sourcing organic cottons made of bamboo fibers when possible. Their signature crochet detailing found on their vintage jackets and boyfriend button-downs is a celebration of the long-lost hippie craft and timeless homespun art.
